Job Description

A Salesforce Senior Engineer should possess a robust and comprehensive understanding of Salesforce.com cloud. Their primary responsibilities revolve around creating customized applications using Force.com and seamlessly integrating Salesforce.com with various systems. In this role, the Senior Engineer plays a pivotal role in Force.com web application development, Salesforce.com integration and extension, solution design, and employs a range of tools, including the Force.com API, APEX, Visualforce, and other extensions to enhance the product. This Senior Engineer is expected to work independently on the development of Salesforce.com applications, aligning them with business and product strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understanding Business Requirements: The Senior Engineer should excel in interpreting and comprehending business requirements, subsequently translating them into technical solutions using the chosen platform.
2. Data Structure and Data Flows: Independently design and create the underlying data structure and data flows necessary to support application development.
3. Web and Mobile Interfaces: Develop web and mobile interfaces on the Force.com platform, utilizing Visualforce, Apex, and other available tools, to create user-friendly applications.
4. Problem-Solving: Possess strong problem-solving skills, enabling the ability to research and understand undocumented setups and applications, and devise effective solutions.
5. Testing and Performance Tuning: Demonstrate expertise in unit, integration, and end-to-end system testing. Implement performance tuning strategies for applications and maintain thorough documentation of these processes.
6. Data Modeling and Migration: Leverage knowledge and experience in data modeling and data migration techniques. Develop both API and user interface components to facilitate data interactions.
7. Source Control: Maintain proficiency in Source Control practices to ensure that code and application assets are managed efficiently and securely.

A Salesforce Senior Engineer should be a highly skilled and autonomous professional, capable of turning business requirements into robust technical solutions. Education + Experience:

Candidates for the position of Salesforce Senior Engineer should possess one of the following educational backgrounds:

1. BCA/MCA Degree:
   • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA/MCA).
2. Bachelor’s Degree:
   • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field related to information systems or computer science.
3. Master’s Degree:
   • Master’s degree in a relevant field related to information systems or computer science.

In addition to the educational qualifications, candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in information systems or a related field. This experience should demonstrate a strong foundation in Salesforce.com cloud, Force.com, web application development, Salesforce.com integration, and application extension. The combination of education and experience equips candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in this role as a Salesforce Senior Engineer.
